Week 11 Start'em/Sit'em

Well here we are week 11. For some this could be the final week before the playoffs. The rest of you are just playing out the season. Let’s get you ready for some action with our week 11 Start Ems and Sit Ems.

Start Em

Quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben has a very favorable matchup this week against the Cleveland Browns. Even though Ben has not been very strong away from Heinz Field this plays right for your line up. The Browns have allowed 25 TD passes so far this season.

Running Back

C.J. Prosise. I like the way this kid ran Sunday Night at New England. This week he has a little tougher matchup against the Eagles. The Eagles rank 13th against the run. Prosise will get lots of work even with Thomas Rawls back.

Wide Receiver

Jamison Crowder. Crowder is a much underrated fantasy WR. He has a very good matchup this week against the 16th ranked pass defense. They have given up 14 TDs and an average of 27 FPPG.

Tight End

Ladarius Green. The Steelers TE had a solid first game with the team last week. Having 3 catches for 30 yards. As he gets more comfortable I believe that he will become a bigger target. That comfort starts this week against a Brown defense that is 27th against the pass.

Kicker

Mat Prater. Prater has a very favorable matchup. Not only has his team seemed to have found some offense but Prater is as reliable as any when it comes to FGs. This week he has a matchup against Jacksonville who is the worst team in the league against kickers 13 FPPG.

Defense

New York Giants. Looks like $200 million is starting to pay off. This week they should continue to fair well against Jay Cutler and the Bears who are 16th ranked offense in the NFL. Look for the Giants to have good success

Sit Em

Quarterback

Carson Palmer. At this point in the season Palmer is almost droppable. He was a spot starter at best and with bye weeks wrapping up he is not needed. Even though the Vikings have struggled in recent weeks, Palmer is still a no go with his tendency to turn it over.

Running Back

Terrance West. West is no longer a viable fantasy option. He had the opportunity to become one and did not capitalize. Now it is the job for Kenneth Dixon. They have a bad matchup this week against a Cowboys defense that has only given up 650 rushing yards. Look for other options besides West if you can.

Wide Receivers

Marvin Jones. Jones has had his struggles in recent weeks. So much so that the Lions have said the offense is going through Golden Tate. This week’s matchup against the Jags is not good. Only 2 number 1 WRs have scored double digits against that secondary.

Tight End

Cameron Brate. Brate has been hot as of late. However, this week he has a matchup with one of the hottest defenses in the league. The Chiefs have only allowed 1 TD to TEs and only are averaging 5 FPPG.

Kicker

Phil Dawson. Dawson has been pretty hot these past couple of weeks. He has had most of the scoring for the 49ers. This week though he cools down a bit against the New England Patriots. Kickers are averaging 5.9 FPPG against them.

Defense

Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals are ranked 24th in DFPPG. That is not very good for the side that was supposed to help get them back to the playoffs. I would stay away from them this week against a Bills ground attack that should have a healthy Shady McCoy and company.
