Week 15 Fantasy Football Starts/Sits

Here we are, week 15. Are you in your fantasy league playoffs? If you are, congratulations. If not, better luck next year. Those that are still playing here are your week 15 Start Em and Sit Em.

Start Em

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota. Mariota has a tough but favorable matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs have not been very good at home. Prior to their week 14 game against Oakland, QBs were averaging 21 FPPG against the Chiefs at Arrowhead. Agreed that the Chiefs are playing well, but so are the Titans. Do not hesitate on Mariota.

Running Back

LaGarrette Blount. While the Denver Broncos have the best pass defense in the NFL, they are near the bottom in rushing. 29th in fact. The Broncos have been exposed in 2016 between the tackles. Keep Blount in your lineup.

Wide Receiver

Taylor Gabriel. Gabriel is one of the hottest receivers going into the fantasy playoffs. He has 12 or FP in 5 of his last 6 games. He makes a solid WR3/Flex start in your league this week. He has a very solid matchup against the 49ers who give up 27 FPPG to WRs.

Tight End

Greg Olson. Last week the Redskins were atrocious against the TE. With the injuries they have suffered, this week could be no different. The Redskins have given up 11 or more FP to TEs over the last 4 weeks. Olson is a must start.

Kicker

Sebastian Janikowski. The Raiders and Sebass had a down week in week 14. They should rebound in week 15 against the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have the 17th ranked defense. This should be a good matchup for the Raiders and Janikowski. Keep him in your lineup.

Defense

Buffalo Bills. The Cleveland Browns are a good rebound for any team that gets destroyed the previous week. This could be said for the Buffalo Bills as well. Opposing defenses have averaged 18 FPPG against the Browns over the season. The Bills are a solid start.

Sit Em

Quarterbacks

Philip Rivers. Rivers has a combined 10 TDs in his last 4 games. He also 12 turnovers in that stretch as well. A matchup against the Oakland Raiders this week does not make this any better. Rivers is a must bench for your playoff game.

Running Back

Todd Gurley. With the dismissal of Head Coach Jeff Fisher on a short week there could be a fire in the Rams. However, a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks does not make this a good week for Gurley. Keeping Gurley on the bench would be smart. Honorable Mention:

Mark Ingram

Wide Receiver

Julian Edelman. Even though the Patriots are one of the best offenses in the league, this week against the Broncos is not a good play. The Broncos have given up the fewest receptions on the year (237), fewest TDs to the positon (6) and fewest FPPG (13). They always rise up against the Patriots making Edelman a pine rider.

Tight End

Dennis Pitta. The Ravens are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. Though you can do good things against the Eagles defense, throwing to the TE is not one of them. The Eagles are the best when it comes to TE yardage (338) and have given up the 3rd fewest points to the positon (4 FPPG).

Kicker

Chris Boswell. The Steelers are not a very strong road team, last week was an exception. This week they travel to Cincinnati. This could be a low scoring game. I would lean away from playing Boswell. There are plenty of other options.

Defense

Chicago Bears. I am not sure how many owners are actually playing the Bears. However, if you are, this week is not solid for them at all. The Packers have seemed to found their stride on offense making it tough on opposing defense.

In case anyone was wondering, the Guru is playing in 2 semifinal matchups this week and 1 championship game. I will get you where you need to be.
