Fantasy Football Start'em & Sit'em Week 8

Here we go, week eight of the NFL and fantasy season. Many fantasy leagues are just past the halfway mark. The next couple of weeks are make it or break it weeks. I hope that you have been paying attention to our starts n sits. In addition, have you been scouring the waiver wire week in and week out? If so, you should be feeling pretty well in your league. If not, there is still time. In saying that, here are your week eight starts n sits.

Starts

Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts

The Oakland Raiders are the 26th overall ranked defense in the NFL. They are also in the midst of a complete rebuild. I would not be surprised if Luck has a spectacular day against the Raiders passing defense that is 22nd ranked.

Phillip Lindsay – Denver Broncos

Lindsay is quickly becoming the lead back for the Denver Broncos. Last week against the Arizona Cardinals he had 90 yards and a TD. Last time they played the Kansas City Chiefs he went for 80 yards and a TD. Keep him in your lineup this week.

Jarvis Landry – Cleveland Browns

Landry should have a solid game against a depleted Pittsburgh Steelers secondary. Their fans are screaming for Patrick Peterson. They are 27th against the pass. The last game ended in a tie. Cleveland is the better team and Landry should have a solid performance.

C.J. Uzomah – Cincinnati Bengals

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the worst pass defense in the NFL. They also allow the most points to TEs. Thus making Uzomah a solid TE option this week.

Wil Lutz – New Orleans Saints

Lutz has a favorable matchup this week against the Minnesota Vikings. They are surrendering 9 or more points per week to kickers. This game will be a shootout.

Defense

Washington Redskins

With New York Giants in the middle of their fire sale, the air is coming out of the ballon. Eli has no protection which could lead to a big day for the Redskins defense that is currently 5th in the NFL.

Sits

Joe Flacco – Baltimore Ravens

The yo-yo ability of Flacco is on the downward spin. The Carolina Panthers are only allowing 14 FPPG to opposing QBs. Keeping Flacco on the pine.

Carlos Hyde – Jacksonville Jaguars

Hyde should see some action in his Jaguars debut in London. However, the Eagles run defense is stout. They give up only 4 yards per carry and the ninth-fewest FP to the position.

Sterling Shepard – New York Giants

Shepard had a big game against the Atlanta Falcons. He put up 167 yards. Do not expect that against the Redskins. Their defense is only allowed one TD to inside receivers.

Michael Roberts – Detroit Lions

Do not get too excited about Roberts just yet. Yes, he had 2 TDs last week. He was only available on 8 passing plays last week, targeted just 2 times. One minimal game does not make him a fantasy starter.

Graham Gano – Carolina Panthers

This is the second time in three weeks that we have had Gano sit, The Ravens are not a good matchup for kickers. Their team is only allowing 5 FPPG to the position.

Defense

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have a matchup against the New Orleans Saints in week 8. The Saints are flying into this one. They are only turning it over 1 time per game on ave. They also have only given up nine sacks.
