Week 9 Start'em/Sit'em
Each year fantasy football is one of the biggest money-making industries in the world. Many so-called experts try to predict line-ups for the common player as well. Here at Rat Pack Sports, we are entering our fifth season of presenting our starts and sits. We do not give you players like Saquon Barkley, Tom Brady, and Odell Beckham Jr. Those names are automatic if you have them on your roster. We are here to give you the less common starters. Names you might not think of. Therefore, without further ado here are your Starts and Sits for week nine of the 2019 NFL Season.
Bye Week: Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saint
Gardner Minshew – Jacksonville Jaguars
Minshew is coming off two terrific weeks. He has a combined 4 TDs and an average of 21 fantasy points in those games as well. I would keep him as a starter this week against The HoTexans who are giving up an ave 295 yards in the air and 19 TDs.
Tevin Coleman – San Francisco 49ers
Coleman is coming off of a 4 TD performance last week against the Carolina Panthers. Much better defense than that of the Arizona Cardinals. Right now the Niners are averaging 5 yards per carry. I think Coleman can get that against the Cardinals and more.
Allen Robinson – Chicago Bears
Robinson is a solid fantasy WR. He has double-digit scoring in every game but one this season. He should see the ball a lot against the Philadelphia Eagles who allow the most fantasy points to WRs outside the numbers.
Cameron Brate – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Brate has been relatively quiet this season. However, a solid fantasy against the Seattle Seahawks awaits him on Sunday. The Birds from the northeast have allowed the fifth-most yards and fourth-most fantasy points to TEs.
Nick Folk – New England Patriots
Folk is the newest addition to the New England Patriots. A matchup against the Baltimore Ravens puts him in your fantasy lineup this week. They have allowed 16 FG attempts on the season along with nine or more fantasy points.
The Bills have a very good fantasy matchup this week against the Washington Redskins. The offense has allowed an average of three sacks and two turnovers per game. Couple this with the fact that Dwayne Haskins could see his first start makes the Bills a strong play.
Now the players to avoid in week one.
Philip Rivers – Los Angeles Chargers
Rivers is a strong fade this week against the Green Bay Packers. The Packer's defense is only allowing an average of 15 fantasy points to QBs. Couple that with Rivers only scoring 10 points last week keeps his on the bench.
Kenyan Drake – Arizona Cardinals
It sounds like drake will get the start on Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers, The other Cardinals backs are both out with injury. However, sit Drake against the 49ers who are the best defense in the NFL allowing only 95 yards on the ground.
Marquise Brown – Baltimore Ravens
Browns has a solid fantasy all season long. Nonetheless, this week he is a strong bench player. The Ravens play the New England Patriots who only allow 150 passing yards per game. Thus making Hollywood a bad ticket.
Jimmy Graham – Green Bay Packers
If you have to play Graham, play him with caution. He has laid an egg in all but one of his last four games. He is also playing the Chargers this week. Their defense has only allowed one top 10 TE in the first eight games.
Eddie Pineiro – Chicago Bears
While Pineiro had a solid fantasy output last week, I would fade him in week 9. The Eagles defense is only allowing an average of six fantasy points to opposing kickers on the season.
The Lions are playing the Oakland Raiders. While this may seem like a solid start on paper, think again. The Raiders offense is only allowing the fourth-fewest points on the season (4 FPPG).
So, there you have it. Week nine in the NFL. Remember fantasy seasons are won and lost by not playing the waiver wire.
