Lightning Looking To Rebound!

The Tampa Bay lightning on the quest to the Cup has some unfinished business to take care of the first test. Detroit Red Wings.

The Tampa Bay Lightning after last season having such a promising year and to only have it come to an end so soon look to make a statement this yr. Finally having Goalie Ben Bishop back in net is a huge plus since last year he missed the 1st rd against the Canadians due to injury. The Bolts return this season to the post season for the second straight season under Head Coach Jon Cooper. the Lightning has had the best season in franchise history. Now for this season to be deemed a success. I think they have to make a deep run into the playoffs with all of the success this season as a Bolts fan we shouldn't settle for less.

Lightning Play in Game 2 tomorrow night at Amalie Arena in a must win game after losing to the Red Wings 3-2 after only giving up a total of 14 shots on goal and peppering Red Wings Net Miner for 46 total shots. They look to even up the series. Ben Bishop has to have a better game if the lightning wants to win this game. It starts and ends with the goaltending in the Playoffs! I also think the bolts have to be a little bit more physical and start finishing off their checks. One thing that i did notice in game one was that Detroit when they hit you they level you. They don't reach for the puck and try and knock the puck out. They take you down to the ground and not allow the lightning player to be a factor in the play. That is Stanley Cup Hockey! The refs lets teams play a little more and the game gets more physical and mistakes being made is a little more costly. There's a reason why the Detroit Red Wings have been to the playoffs 24 straight yrs and with that come tons of playoff experience.
