NFC South Wrap Up

Carolina moves on to 3-0 and sends New Orleans home winless.

In a game most thought would be an easy win for the Carolina Panthers the Saints battled it out for four quarters but fell short when Josh Norman sealed the game with an interception with 1:09 left on the clock.

The Panthers advance to 3-0 for the first time since their super bowl run. They do not control the South division alone as first time head coach, Quinn has lead his team to an undefeated start as well . Tampa bay falls short and is 1-2 for the year battling for the worst team in the South division.

Cam’s favorite target Greg Olsen shredded the Saints defense with 8 receptions, 134 yards and 2 touchdowns! Cam threw for 300 yards and one rushing touchdown. The Saints continue to have tremendous trouble stopping opposing offenses and made the Panthers offensive look legit.

With Drew Brees out for the first time since 2006 , Luke McCown stepped in and had his first official start since 2011 . McCown had an impressive day with an 81% completion rating going for 31/38. McCown did his job and did it impressively and his defense let him and the team down. Yes he had an interception late in the game but 310 yards is not a bad day even if the Panthers were missing one Luke Kuechly.

Next up the Panthers travel to Tampa to take on the penalty riddled Tampa Bay team still trying to find their identity while the Saints take on the Romo”less” Cowboys who failed to derail the Falcons.
