Week 3 Start'em/ Sit'em

With week 2 in the books how are you fairing? The waiver wire at this time of the year should be your friend. Do not ignore it. Week 3 is in site starting tomorrow. Let’s get you ready!

Start Em

Quarterback

Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill has benefitted from new Head Coach Adam Gase. The Dolphins have been inboth games thus far. Tannehill has been solid and could be even better this week against the ClevelandBrowns defense.

Running Back

Isiah Crowell. Crowell had a huge game last week for the Browns against the Baltimore Ravens. The Dolphins have started the season flat on defense through 2 games. If that continues look for Crowell to have a big game.

Wide Receiver

Mike Wallace. Wallace is quickly and quietly becoming one of QB Joe Flacco’s favorite targets. Against a surprising struggling Jaguars defense that should continue. Wallace makes a solid WR 2, 3 or flex option in week 3.

Tight End

Kyle Rudolph. I have said, over past weeks, to stay away from Minnesota Vikings. Now it is time to start looking at them. They have solidified their QB situation with Sam Bradford. Bradford likes his TEs, especially in the red zone. This makes Rudolph viable again.

Kicker

Adam Vinatieri. The Colts kicker has produced double weeks in each of the first 2. Going up against the Chargers in week 3 could benefit him further. Neither team has a very good defense, so you could see a lot of points.

Defense

Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams are a mess on offense. The only thing they have working for them is is RB Todd Gurley. This makes the Bucs a solid start.

Sit Em

Quarterback

Tyrod Taylor. Although Taylor had a bounce back week last week, this week the matchup is tougher. The Arizona Cardinals have only given 9 pts to quarterbacks in the first 2 weeks. Playing defense like this makes Taylor a no go.

Running Back

Jeremy Hill. Facing one of the best defenses in the league, Denver Broncos. This, combined with Hill’s lack of offense makes him a definite sit in week 3.

Wide Receiver

Sammy Watkins. If you sit a QB and you have his WR sit him too. Watkins has been a no show through 2 weeks. With the Cardinals and Patrick Peterson coming to town, send Watkins to the bench.

Tight End

Jesse James. Although James has been quite the surprise in 2016, this week he may be a question mark. The Steelers are playing one of the early surprise defenses through 2 weeks. I would question staring Jesse James in week 3.

Kicker

Graham Gano. Aside from playing in Denver in week 1 this will be the toughest test for the Carolina Panthers. Look for this game to be low scoring with not many opportunities for Graham to score.

Defense

New York Jets. Having to travel to Kansas City makes the Jets a questionable start. The Chiefs are very good at home and should leave some thought in your mind when it comes to using the New York Jets.

It is time to start getting serious about your fantasy team. Week 3 starts to become the turning point in many leagues. If you are still in the running keep pushing. If you are struggling, keep fighting but it could be a long year
