Week 10 Starts/Sits Fantasy Football
Week 10 is upon us. It is time to make you move if you got one. If you are legitimate playoff team in you league, congratulations. Let’s get you ready for your stretch run and the playoffs. Here are start ems and sit ems for week 10.
Jay Cutler. Cutler looked solid in his return against the Minnesota Vikings. I expect the same against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are ranked 27th in the league in pass defense. This makes Cutler a great spot starter this week.
Tim Hightower. I like Hightower against a Denver Broncos run defense that has been getting gashed the past couple of weeks. The Broncos defense, though one of the best, is weak in the middle. This gives Tim Hightower, who is stealing carries, a solid play.
Tyrell Williams. Williams has put up 12 or more points in 3 of his last 5 games. With a matchup against the Miami Dolphins on the horizon, I would keep him in my lineup. They have had some recent struggles against WRs.
Dennis Pitta. Pitta scores a lot against the Browns. In their last game against Cleveland, Pitta put up 102 yds. Cleveland also has the 23rd ranked pass defense and give up the most FPPG to the TE.
Chandler Cantanzaro. The Zar has been disappointing most of the season. This week he has a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers who are giving the 2nd most fantasy points over the last 4 weeks to kickers. If you need a spot kicker look at the Zar.
Baltimore Ravens. As long as the Browns continue to start Cody Kessler, I would play matchup defense against them. They are a more formidable team with Josh McCown under center. Look for the Ravens to stay the course this week.
Sam Bradford. Bradford has returned to his old ways. He is missing receivers and turning it over. The Redskins have a surprisingly good pass rush that should be able to disrupt the Vikings QB. If you have another option, look to make that your play in week 10.
Matt Jones. Jones was picking up steam as a viable staring running back. He then fumbled his way back to the bench. He has lost his starting job to Robert Kelley. Look elsewhere for a RB and keep Jones on your bench.
Brandin Cooks. Keep an eye on the injury report. If Aqib Talib plays I would sit Cooks and the rest of the Saints WRs. If Talib is out he could be an OK option at WR3 or Flex. Depending on your depth at the position you have other options.
Julius Thomas. It is hard to start any one from Jacksonville at this point in the season. Even a big name like Thomas has been a disappointment. With a matchup against the Texans defense that only gives up 4.4FPPG to TEs makes this an easy call.
Blair Walsh. I am not sure if he still feeling the effects of the playoff game or not, but he has clearly not been the same kicker in 2016. So much so, they had several kickers in for try outs this week. Walsh is on the hot seat along with your bench this week.
Philadelphia Eagles. This is a defense that has done a 360 since the start of the season. I would expect that trend to continue against a hot Falcons offense. Stay away from the Eagles defense this week.
There you have it. I hope that you have been paying attention all year. Fantasy season is about to hit the big time. Are you ready?
