Week 16 fantasy Football Starts'em/Sit'em

It is that time. Week 16 is fantasy super bowl week. Most, if not all, leagues are playing their super bowl this week. If you are in, Congratulations. Let’s get you ready for the big game with this week’s Start Em n Sit Em!

Start Em

Quarterback

Tyrod Taylor. Taylor was very good against Miami in week 7 with a 25 point performance. Miami is not very good against mobile QBs. I would keep an eye on Taylor this week.

Running Back

Frank Gore. The Raiders give up a lot to opposing running backs. They have given up the 4th most yards on the season, 1500. They also average 20 FPPG to opposing running backs. Gore is a valuable RB this week.

Wide Receiver

Dontrelle Inman. Very good matchup against the Cleveland Brown. This is their last chance at a victory this season. Inman has had 10 plus points in 3 of his last 4 games and the Browns have given up 17 Tds to WRs this season.

Tight End

Martellus Bennett. This week he has a matchup against the New York Jets. The Jets are a have been saying Merry Christmas all month to the position, with 5 TDs over the last 3 weeks. Play Bennet in your super bowl.

Kicker

Caleb Sturgis. Sturgis is the 4th ranked kicker in FP this season. He has a favorable game against the Giants who have given up 32 FGs on the season and allow an average of 9 FPPG to kickers. Sturgis had 11 against them in week 9.

Defense

San Diego Chargers. MUST START!!! There are two word as to why, Cleveland Browns. The Browns offense is giving up an average of 14 FPPG to opposing defenses.

Sit Em

Quarterback

Matt Stafford. Dallas may be 28th against the pass but they tend to make teams one dimensional. They have the number 1 run defense. Detroit is in trouble and this is not a good start to the final 2 weeks.

Running Back

Adrian Peterson. Who is going to start a running back that is only averaging 2 yards per attempt? The Vikings are terrible and he should have stayed on IR. I made the mistake of telling some off the air to play him last week. This week he is a no go.

Wide Receiver

Kelvin Benjamin. Benjamin has not be a reliable target in the second half of the season. He has just 1 TD in his last 10 games. He does not have a very good matchup this week against the Falcons who have shut down the opposing passing game the last 4 weeks.

Tight End

Coby Fleener. Fleener is better at home than he is on the road. However, I am not sure I trust him at home this week against a Buccaneers team that has only allowed 3 TDs to TEs this season.

Kicker

Brandon McManus. McManus had a very solid game in round 1 against the Chiefs. However, he and the Denver offense have been in decline ever since. KC is giving up less than 7 FPPG to kickers. That makes McManus a no go in your super bowl.

Defense

Detroit Lions. Dallas has the 5th ranked offense, the #2 run offense and #20 pass offense. Detroit is lower than them defensively everywhere but pass defense. This is going to be a tough week for the Lions.

If you are in your fantasy super bowl, good luck! If not we will see you next year.
