Week 8 Fantasy Football Starts/Sits
Week 8 in the NFL and in your fantasy season. We are entering the stretch run to make the playoffs. At this point, you are either in or on the verge of being out. Your waiver wire moves make all the difference. Last week they failed me. I slipped a little bit and 2-3 on the week. Here are your Start Em and Sit Em for week 8.
Start Em
Quarterback
Andy Dalton – Dalton has a solid matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are the 31st ranked passing defense in the league. There should be ample opportunity for Dalton to score big this week.
Running Back
Chris Thompson – If you are not already Thompson you should be weekly. Cowboys are one of the worst against running backs this season. Especially pass-catching running backs. Keep Thompson on the grid.
Wide Receiver
Keenan Allen – These Patriots make a good matchup for Allen and the Chargers. The last ranked pass defense in the NFL give up the 3rd most FPPG to the WR position.
Tight End
Tyler Kroft – Kroft is on a scoring streak for the Bengals. He has replaced Tyler Eifert with three scores in his last three games. Stay with that streak against the Colts.
Kicker
Will Lutz – He has no fewer than 8 points in all 6 games this season. The Bears are averaging 10 FPPG to kickers on the road.
Defense
Kansas City Chiefs – The offense of the Denver Broncos is sliding down a slippery slope. Not sure this is the week they hit bottom but the Chiefs defense will not help regain traction.
Sit Em
Quarterback
Ben Roethlisberger – Ben struggles on the road. The Lions are only giving up 13 FPPG to QBs. This does not play well for Big Ben in week 8.
Running Back
Latavius Murray – Even though it is the Cleveland Browns they can actually stop the run. They are a top 10 run defense and are only giving up 3 YPC.
Wide Receiver
Terrelle Pryor – At this point, he is almost cuttable. He has lost his starting position and needs a wakeup call. There are better out there.
Tight End
Eric Ebron – He has not had a TD since week 2. He has scored 11 total fantasy points since that time as well. Could be releasable as well.
Kicker
Robbie Gould – Although I think this game could end up closer than the 49ers blowout last week, I am not sold on Gould. Could be a game of TDs.
Defense
Buffalo Bills – They have been better than expected. However, this week they have a Raiders team that I think woke up last week. Could be a high-scoring shootout.
There you have your starts n sits for week 8. We are entering the stretch run. Time to focus so you can make the playoffs.
