Week 13 Fantasy Football Starts/Sits
Each year fantasy football is one of the biggest money-making industries in the world. Many so-called experts try to predict line-ups for the common player as well. Here at Rat Pack Sports, we are entering our fifth season of presenting our starts and sits. We do not give you players like Saquon Barkley, Tom Brady, and Odell Beckham Jr. Those names are automatic if you have them on your roster. We are here to give you the less common starters. Names you might not think of. Therefore, without further ado here are your Starts and Sits for week thirteen of the 2019 NFL Season.
Bye Week: None.
Starts
QB
Jameis Winston – Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jameis might have a turnover problem. Nonetheless, he is a quality start for you heading into the fantasy playoffs. He is top 5 in the NFL in passing and top 10 in fantasy scoring.
RB
Ronald Jones – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jones has a very favorable fantasy matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This defense is allowing more than 15 fantasy PPG in three out of their last four. Also, they have allowed the most fantasy points to running backs over the last four weeks.
WR
DeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins
Yes, that is right, start a Dolphins WR. He is one of the hottest fantasy WRs in the game. He has 8 double-digit games in a row. Also, the Philadelphia Eagles have allowed the most fantasy points out wide on the season.
TE
Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts
The Colts put Eric Ebron on IR this week. That is going to give Doyle a significant amount of targets. The Colts also have a plus matchup against the Tennessee Titans in week 13. The Titans are very friendly to TEs on the season.
K
Mason Crosby – Green Bay Packers
Crosby is a solid start in week 13 against the New York Giants. The Giants are very friendly against enemy kickers. The Giants have allowed 10 FGs to visiting kickers and 9+ fantasy PPG on average
Defense
New York Jets
The Jets were a sit last week against the Oakland Raiders and that was, well, a solid mistake. The Guru admits his mistakes. Start the Jets this week against the Cincinnati Bengals. Defenses are averaging 4 sacks and the second most fantasy points against the stripped cats. Now the players to avoid in week one.
Sits
QB
Jimmy Garoppolo – San Francisco 49ers
The Ravens are tough on QBs in general. However, they are especially tough on QB at M&T Bank Stadium. Normally Jimmy G would be a solid fantasy option just not against the Ravens who have only allowed two TD passes.
RB
Chris Carson – Seattle Seahawks
Carson is a tough fantasy start this week. I believe that the Seahawks are going to have to throw the ball more against the Minnesota Vikings Monday Night. Plus, the Vikings have one of the league’s toughest run defenses in the NFL.
WR
Will Fuller – Houston Texans
Fuller and the Texans offense go up against the best defense in the NFL this weekend. Sunday night should prove tough for the Texans against the New England Patriots. That makes Fuller a fantasy fade this week although he put up a large number last week.
TE
Jason Witten – Dallas Cowboys
Witten and the Cowboys are in a fight on Thursday. The Buffalo Bills are the best fantasy defense against TEs. They only allow 2.9 receptions and the least points. Fade Witten big time.
K
Matt Prater – Detroit Lions
Prater had a solid week against the Washington Redskins last week, scoring 11 fantasy points. However, I would fade him this week against a Chicago Bears defense that had only allowed eight FGs.
Defense
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are the second-best defense in the NFL. Nonetheless, I would sit them against the Baltimore Ravens this week. This is going to be a true test for this defense. Lamar Jackson and company are one of the best offenses and should give the Niners some trouble this week So, there you have it. Week thirteen in the NFL. Remember fantasy seasons are won and lost by not playing the waiver wire.
