Week 16 Fantasy Football Start/Sits

Well, here we are, championship week for most fantasy leagues. If you are not one of those leagues, then best of luck in your continued playoff endeavor. If you are looking for some streams, studs, and duds you have come to the right place. So without further ado, here is your week 16 starts and sits for your fantasy playoffs.

Quarterback

Start: Ryan Tannehill - Tennessee Titans

I like Tannehill this week against a New Orleans Saints defense that has been very friendly to opposing QBs. They are allowing 20 fantasy PPG to the opposition under center.

Sit: Tom Brady - New England Patriots

Brady is very up and down on this 2019 season. I would sit him against the Buffalo Bills this week. In the last 5 games against the Bills, Tom Terrific is only averaging 9 fantasy points to go with three TDs.

Running Back

Start: Joe Mixon - Cincinnati Bengals

Mixon has 17+ fantasy points in 6 of his last 7 games. Play him this week against the Miami Dolphins who have given up a bunch of points since week 12.

Sit: Carlos Hyde - Houston Texans

Hyde has been a blessing to the Texans backfield. However, a week 16 game against the Bucs leaves him on the bench. The Tampa defense is only allowing 3.1 rushing yards per carry and the third-fewest fantasy points.

Wide Receiver

Start: Breshad Perriman - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Perriman is a very solid start in week 16. He has a little over 50 fantasy points in his last two games. With Chris Godwin and Mike Evans out for the season, Perriman is now the top option for Jameis Winston.

Sit: John Brown - Buffalo Bills

Brown was very solid against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nonetheless, this week against the Patriots I would sit him down. Outside receivers are averaging the fewest fantasy points while only scoring two TDs on the season.

Tight End

Start: Dallas Goedert - Philadelphia Eagles

Goedert has been a go-to TE for Carson Wentz as of late. He is a solid play against the Dallas Cowboys whose defense is allowing six catches and the seventh-most fantasy points to the TE position.

Sit: Kyle Rudolph - Minnesota Vikings

Sit Rudolph this week against the Packers on MNF. Especially with the return of Adam Thielen to the lineup. When Thielen is active, the TE is only averaging six fantasy points.

Kickers

Start: Ka’imi Fairbairn - Houston Texans

Fairbairn is a Christmas present to fantasy playoff teams this week. He has a matchup against the worst defense against the position. The Buccaneers are allowing the most fantasy points to kickers on the season.

Sit: Zane Gonzalez - Arizona Cardinals

Gonzalez is a bench this week against the Seattle Seahawks. Kickers are averaging less than seven points against them. Also, Gonzo only scored four points against the Hawks in the first matchup.

Defense

Start: Denver Broncos

This is a great week to start the Broncos defense. Their opponent, the Detroit Lions, are allowing 4 sacks, 3 turnovers, and the most fantasy points to opposing defenses.

Sit: Green Bay Packers

The Packers are in a bit of a slump on defense. They are only averaging 10 points in their last 3 games. This week they play a Minnesota Vikings team that is only allowing 4 fantasy PPG to opposing defenses.

There are your starts and sits for week 16. Be sure to follow Sean on Twitter @ratpackffguru for all of in/outs on Sunday Morning. You can also email any lineup questions to ratpackfantasyguru@gmail.com.
