Fantasy Football Start's and Sit's Week 3

Welcome Back fans of the Rat Pack Sports Show. Here we are back for another year of fantasy football. It is time to get those lineup set and chase down that money. That is if you are playing for money. Here at the Rat Pack, we do not bring you the heavy starters. You should not need any help starting those. We bring the players that you may have a question starting or sitting. Thus, without further ado here are your week three starts and sits.

Quarterback

Start: Ryan Tannehill – Tennessee Titans

The Titans have a solid week 3 fantasy matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Tannehill is currently tied for second in 6 TDs and 0 INTs. The Vikings defense ranks 28th in the league in yards with over 500 passing yards allowed in 2 games. Tannehill is showing he was worth the money as well as a start on your fantasy team.

Sit: Jarod Goff – Los Angeles Rams

Goff had a solid game in wee2. So much so, that you might think he should start again in Week 3. Not against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Bills are currently the 5th ranked defense in the league. That makes Goff a tough fantasy play for me this week.

Running Back

Start: David Montgomery – Chicago Bears

Montgomery is becoming the workhorse that many thought he would become. He is averaging around 14 touches per game through two games. He also has a great fantasy matchup this week in the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons defense has allowed the 10th most points to the running back position.

Sit: Mark Ingram – Baltimore Ravens

Touches are all over the place in Baltimore. They have to share the ball between Ingram, J.k. Dobbins, Lamar Jackson, and Gus Edwards. With all those players getting touches I am sitting Mark Ingram on my fantasy bench.

Wide Receiver

Start: Corey Davis – Tennessee Titans

Davis is playing for a contract this season. Whether that be with the Titans or someone else he has come to play. Davis is currently averaging 12 fantasy points per game and can continue that streak against the Vikings. I like the Tennessee two-step this week.

Sit: Will Fuller – Houston Texans

I thought this Texans team was going to be alright without DeAndre Hopkins. So far they are proving me wrong. Fuller was not even targeted in week two. This week they play a very formidable opponent in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Full may not get targeted again. Keep him on your fantasy bench.

Tight End

Start: Noah Fant – Denver Broncos

Fant last week was quiet until the Lock injury. Then all of a sudden, Jeff Drskel found him. Fant is third in the league in TE scoring. Look for that to continue against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is a big target ion the Red Zone and that always helps the backup QB. Start Fant on your fantasy team.

Sit: Rob Gronkowski – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Gronk has not found his NFL legs in the first two games. That makes it tough to start him on a fantasy team. That is unless you have no other option. However, there are plenty of options at TE available that are better than Gronk. Find one to help out your fantasy squad.

Defense

Start: Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are just waiting to explode on defense. Even without Derwin James. Look for that two happen in week 3 against the Carolina Panthers. The Chargers are 12th in the league in fantasy scoring with an average of 6 pts per game. Look for Joey Bosa to be huge in the game.

Sit: New Orleans Saints

The Saints are struggling on defense. They allowed 30+ points to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night. Next up on the schedule is a date with the highest scoring team in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers. Thus, I would keep the Saints on my fantasy bench this week.

Sleepers

Offense: Jerick McKinnon – RB, San Francisco 49ers

With injuries to both Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman, McKinnon should see an increase in playing time. He is a multi-faceted back that should have a great upside in PPR leagues. He would make a great flex starter for fantasy this week.

Defense: Tennessee Titans

While the Titans have not been solid on defense they have been good enough. This week they could right the ship against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are the third-worst offense in the NFL and the only average 275 yards per game. Yep $85million is good enough for third-worst. Don’t sleep on the Titans in fantasy this week.

There you have it, your week three starts and sits for the 2020 NFL Season. We are going to be here for 16 weeks. We hope to help win some games during that time.
