Week 15 Start'em/Sit'em

Welcome back fans of the NFL. Here we are back for another year of fantasy football. It is time to get those lineup set and chase down that money. That is if you are playing for money. Here at the Rat Pack Sports, we do not bring you the heavy starters. You should not need any help starting those. We bring the players that you may have a question about starting or sitting. Thus, without further ado here are your week fifteen starts and sits.

Bye Week – None

Quarterback

Start: Kirk Cousins – Minnesota Vikings

Cousins has been red hot over the last month or so. However, last week he slid down the ramp a little and finished as the 14 highest fantasy QB. Do not read too much into that. This week he is a solid start because the Vikings are at home. Cousins is averaging 20 or more fantasy points at home this season.

Sit: Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons

Ryan is averaging less than 17 fantasy points in his last four games. Besides, they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week 15. Ryan has not fared well against them in recent outings. Last season he had just 22 points in two games. This will be the first of two meetings on the season. Nonetheless, I am not confident he will do much more.

Running Back

Start: Cam Akers – Los Angeles Rams

Akers has slowly seen his touches increase over the past few weeks. Along with those increases in touches, so has his fantasy football production. This week it is an easy play as well. They play the freaking New York Jets. This is a no-brainer fantasy start.

Sit: Chris Carson – Seattle Seahawks

Carson had a credible stat line last week. However, it was against the NEW YORK JETS! This week he steps into a completely different class against the Washington Football Team. They are allowing the fewest fantasy points to RBs in the last month. Thus, do not expect a high fantasy football point total from the Seahawk back.

Wide Receiver

Start: Brandon Aiyuk – San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel is on the sidelines for the rest of the season. Therefore, Aiyuk becomes the best receiving target for the 49ers outside of George Kittle (when he returns). Play Aiyuk this week against a Dallas Cowboys secondary that lets through receivers like you colander does water.

Sit: K.J. Hamler – Denver Broncos

You know my motto. Do Not Chase Points! That is another case here. Hamler was solid against the Carolina Panthers. Nonetheless, Tim Patrick is the man in Denver right now. If you have to play one of those players against the Buffalo Bills, it is not Hamler.

Tight End

Start: Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens

Andrews is Lamar Jackson’s favorite target. He is also his most consistent. Even though Andrews does not have but one TD in the last 7 weeks, he a solid fantasy play against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Sit: Jordan Reed – San Francisco 49ers

Yes, I said start Aiyuk. Nevertheless, stay away from the TEs in San Francisco. They are not that good when Kittle is not on the field. Couple that with Reed splitting reps with Ross Dwelley and you have yourself a strong brew of fantasy football bench.

Defense

Start: Miami Dolphins

I love the matchup the Dolphins have this week. Whether it is Cam Newton or any other QB, I would start the Dolphins in week 15. The New England Patriots do not play well when they travel to Miami. That does not matter who is under center or even when the Dolphins suck! This is a new Dolphins team. Do not hesitate to start this defense.

Sit: Kansas City Chiefs

They travel to the Superdome to take on the New Orleans Saints. Even though it is not the same dome with no fans, there is still an eerie feeling when teams play there. While Drew Brees may not be there, this is still a bad fantasy play in week 15.

Sleeper

Offense: Mitchell Trubisky – Chicago Bears

Yep, I said it. You could stream Trubisky for this week in your fantasy playoffs and feel safe doing so. The Vikings have allowed half of the QBs they have faced to put up 24+ fantasy PPG. This is why you should not nap on Mitch.

Defense: New Orleans Saints

Many may be scared to play the Saints since they face the Chiefs. Don’t be. The Dolphins showed how to pressure and play with the Chiefs. The Saints have the same type of defense. I believe this will be a solid game for the New Orleans defense.

There you have it, your week fifteen starts and sits for the 2020 NFL Season. We are going to be here for 16 weeks. We hope to help win some games during that time.
