Week 2 Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Welcome Back fans of the Rat Pack Sports Show. Here we are back for another year of fantasy football. It is time to get those lineup set and chase down that money. That is if you are playing for money. Here at the Rat Pack, we do not bring you the heavy starters. You should not need any help starting those. We bring the players that you may have a question starting or sitting. Thus, without further ado here are your week two starts and sits.

Quarterback

Start: Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady rarely has two bad games in a row. Week one against the New Orleans Saints was to be expected given COVID, no preseason, and a new team. The Bucs also have a solid fantasy matchup against the Carolina Panthers who allowed 240 yards to Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sit: Carson Wentz – Philadelphia Eagles

Wentz and the Eagles offense was victimized for eight sacks and three turnovers at the hands of Washington. The offensive line is a mess. Therefore, look for that destruction to continue against Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Running Back

Start: Devin Singletary – Buffalo Bills

Singletary only ran for 30 yards in week one. However, that was because the Bills carved up the Jets through the air. This week I expect a more balanced attack against the Miami Dolphins. Look for the Bills to give a steady dose of Singletary. This should help your fantasy team in week 2.

Sit: Leonard Fournette – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Ronald Jones finally looked healthy and that is a good thing for the Bucs. However, that is not a good thing for those who own Fournette on their fantasy team. It is going to be hard to play the newly acquired back until they decide to stick with Jones or give the rock to Fournette.

Wide Receiver

Start: Jamison Crowder – New York Jets

Crowder had 7 catches on 13 targets for 115 yards and 1 TD. Crowder is the best option for Sam Darnold right now. Although they play a pissed off San Francisco 49ers team, I would still consider Crowder a solid play for your week two fantasy lineup.

Sit: DeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins

Playing any Dolphins receiver now is risky. They just are not a quality offense. Besides, he is dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him out of the second half last week. Until Miami starts Tua Tagovailoa or Parker is 100% healthy I would keep him on your fantasy bench.

Tight End

Start: Jared Cook – New Orleans Saints

Cook had 7 targets last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This week he could see an increase in targets with the questionable availability of WR Michael Thomas. Cook. Should be your fantasy lineup not only because of this but also because the Saints play the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders gave up 30 points to the Carolina Panthers.

Sit: Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts

Doyle had a solid 2019. Nonetheless, that has not translated to the beginning of 2020. Could it be a new QB – Phillip Rivers? Maybe. Whatever the case, Doyle is a fantasy sit this week. His performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars was 19th best in week one. That coupled with the Minnesota Vikings having shut down the position makes Doyle a hard pass.

Defense

Start: Los Angeles Rams

The Rams had a solid performance in week one. Meanwhile, Washington shot down the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington’s front controlled an ailing Eagles O-Line. I look for Aaron Donald and that front to do just the same thing. Place the Rams in your fantasy lineup in week 2.

Sit: Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys struggled to get used to new defensive coordinator Mike Nolan. This, coupled with the loss of Leighton Vander Esch makes them a tough fantasy play. Their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons is also not a good one. The Falcons amassed 506 totals yards against the Seattle Seahawks in a week one loss.

Sleepers

Offense: Scott Miller – WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Miller had 5 receptions on 6 targets in week one. He had 73 yards on those 5 catches. Brady likes those small slot receivers across the middle. Look for that to continue in week 2 to try to get this Bucs offense on the right track.

Defense: Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons defense had quite the time against the high-powered Seattle Seahawks. I think they will have a bounce-back week against the Dallas Cowboys. At times, the Cowboys offense looked stagnant. This will give the Atlanta defense the chance to jump on the. Make the surprise play on your fantasy team this week with the Falcons defense.

There you have it, your week two starts and sits for the 2020 NFL Season. We are going to be here for 16 weeks. We hope to help win some games during that time.
